Job Description
George is responsible for navigation, safety, and the overall running and financial management of the vessel, crew, and guests. He always ensures the safe and efficient operation of ALTHEA, including compliance with all procedures and regulations that keep our guests safe. He takes care of adhering to flag regulations, port state and local laws and regulations, and manages the crew to ensure adherence to, and a full understanding of, the vessel’s policies. He further encourages teamwork, individual growth, and personal attention in delegating duties and supervising all crew tasks.

• Captain Class B’ Diploma (Merchant Marine Academy)

Since 2000, he has dedicated his expertise to ALTHEA, serving as both engineer and first mate. Known for his calm demeanor, Samir’s subtle sense of humor is a delightful surprise for those who take the time to get to know him.

Job Description
Samir is responsible for all the machinery onboard, including all control, maintenance, and repair systems. He manages all working engines, the generator and any electronics systems, as well as the plumbing and hydraulic system. He also regularly assists the captain in their duties, which includes navigation watch, radar control, and transatlantic communication.

His transition to yachting included personal chef work aboard a 52m yacht and a successful season aboard AURORA, where he adapted his skills to the demands of life at sea while maintaining his high standards.

Nikolaos is responsible for the planning and execution of all meals on board, tailored to guest preferences and dietary needs. He manages provisioning, ensures strict hygiene standards, and presents meals with creativity and elegance. He coordinates closely with the stewardess and captain to deliver a seamless dining experience, both for daily service and special occasions.
