Captain Marin brings a lifetime of maritime experience to M/Y Gatsby, having worked his way up from tankers and offshore vessels to luxury yachts cruising the Mediterranean and beyond. With a calm, confident approach and a passion for life at sea, he’s the kind of captain who makes guests feel safe, looked after, and completely at ease.
Over the years, Marin has helmed some
impressive vessels and a range of other high-end private and charter yachts. Whether managing refits, leading long passages, or
hosting discerning guests, he’s all about precision, smooth sailing, and running a tight but happy ship.
Respected for his strong leadership, deep technical knowledge and love for the sea, Marin is always learning, always improving and always bringing his best to the team and the guests on board.
Chief Officer
Ivan Šimunović

Born and raised in Split, Croatia, Ivan has a deep-rooted passion for the sea and always knew he'd build his life around it. With years of hands-on experience, from deckhand to charter captain, he brings calm leadership and solid technical skills to his current role as Chief Officer.
Ivan is known for his easygoing nature, strong technical know-how, and calm leadership style. Whether he's navigating coastal waters, overseeing maintenance,
or jumping in to help the team, he brings reliability and a great sense of humor to the crew.
When he's not on deck, Ivan enjoys learning about new technologies and maintaining his connection to the sea through every aspect of his life.
Engineer
Ivan Gavran

Ivan is the kind of guy who could probably fix your coffee machine, your engine and your Wi-Fi—all before lunch. Born in Zadar and trained as a marine engineer, he’s passionate about all things mechanical and thrives when he’s elbow- deep in the engine room.
He holds an Officer of the Watch (750kW+) certificate and has a solid background working on tankers, bulk carriers, charter yachts and private
vessels. His attention to detail, calm approach and strong technical know-how make him a key player in keeping Gatsby running smoothly.
When he’s not below deck, Ivan’s either out sailing, teaching others how to drive (yep— he was a driving instructor too), or enjoying a friendly football match.

Josipa Šupraha

Josipa brings a dynamic blend of creativity, precision, and leadership to her role as Chief Stewardess on M/Y Gatsby. With a strong hospitality background, a flair for detail, and years of experience on yachts up to 48m, she knows exactly how to keep things elegant, smooth and guest focused; whether it’s setting up a themed dinner, managing interior operations, or organizing a last-minute party with flair
Josipa is known for her upbeat energy, strategic thinking, and high standards—always a step ahead and ready to elevate the onboard experience.
When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her in nature hiking or even diving, reading a good book or planning her next travel.
Second Stewardess
Anamarija Begić

Anamarija brings a warm, professional presence to her role as Second Stewardess on M/Y Gatsby; with a background in both hospitality and nursing, she’s a natural when it comes to caring for others and creating a welcoming, comfortable onboard experience.
When she’s off duty, you’ll find her scuba diving, hiking, reading under the stars or exploring new cuisines. She's also
keen to one day blend her nursing training with her yachting career.

Stefan brings serious culinary firepower to M/Y Gatsby, blending global flavors with creative presentation and a calm, focused kitchen style. From fine dining on cruise ships to fast-paced luxury beach clubs, Stefan has worked his way up to lead roles in high-end kitchens— and it shows in every plate he serves.
Stefan is all about clean, flavorful food that looks just as good as it tastes—and when he’s not in the galley, you’ll
probably find him sharing a laugh with the crew or scouting the local markets for inspiration.
